Decorative Concrete
Stamped patterns, integral color, and hand-applied textures that turn a plain slab into a finished feature — engineered to hold up to Houston weather.
Decorative Concrete
Decorative concrete gives you the look of flagstone, slate, or brick at a fraction of the cost and installation time — provided it's installed correctly. We stamp, score, and color concrete while it's still workable, then seal it to protect against the sun exposure and humidity that fade a lot of decorative work within a couple of summers here.
Flagstone, slate, cobblestone, and wood-plank patterns stamped into the surface while the concrete is still workable.
Color mixed into the concrete plus a release agent for depth and variation that doesn't wash out.
Sealers chosen to resist fading and yellowing under Houston's sun exposure, not just indoor showroom light.
Textured finishes that stay usable — not slick — when it's wet, which matters during our rainy months.
Design Options
Decorative concrete isn't one finish — it's a few different techniques, each with its own look, cost, and best use.
Acid or water-based stain soaked into the slab for a mottled, natural color variation — a clean, modern look for patios and driveways alike.
The top layer of paste is washed away to reveal the pea gravel or stone underneath — a durable, cost-effective texture with real traction.
Textured mats pressed into the surface while it's still wet to imprint a flagstone, slate, or brick pattern, then colored and sealed.
Where It Works
The look of pavers or natural stone on the surface guests see first, at a lower material cost.
A seamless, decorative surface for outdoor living space that ties into your home's existing hardscape.
Textured, slip-resistant finishes that also stay cooler underfoot than plain broom-finished concrete.
A decorative path that matches your driveway or patio pattern for a cohesive look across the whole property.
How It Works
We excavate, form, and compact the base — the finish only looks as good as what's underneath it.
You pick the technique, pattern, and color that fits your home — we'll walk you through samples on site.
We pour, then stain, stamp, or expose the aggregate while the concrete is still workable — timing is everything.
Once it's cured, we seal it and walk you through the care it needs to hold its color and finish.
Built For Houston
Decorative concrete lives or dies by its sealer in this climate. UV exposure, humidity, and pooling rainwater will fade or peel a poorly sealed decorative surface within a season or two. We use sealers and application methods suited to Gulf Coast conditions, and we plan drainage and joint placement so the pattern doesn't trap water in Houston's downpours.

Pricing
Decorative concrete usually costs less than pavers or natural stone, but the exact number depends on a few things:
Existing concrete removal — demo and haul-off of an old slab adds cost before we pour anything new.
Excavation & base depth — how deep we dig and compact depends on your soil and the slab's intended use.
Technique selected — stains, exposed aggregate, and multi-color stamping each take a different amount of labor.
Pattern & color complexity — a single stamp pattern with one color costs less than a multi-tone blend with a border.
Size & access — larger areas and tight side-yard access both affect labor time.
Drainage & utilities — grading and any utility work near the pour can add scope on some lots.
We walk every property in person and give you a free, detailed estimate before any work starts — no guessing over the phone.

The concrete itself lasts for decades, but the decorative finish — color and sealer — ages over time and needs to be resealed every few years to keep its look, especially under Houston sun and humidity.
Most Houston-area HOAs allow it, but requirements vary by neighborhood. We'll talk through your specific HOA's guidelines once we know what you're picturing, and help you put together anything they need to approve it.
We can get very close and, more importantly, choose a color and pattern that complements your home rather than fighting with it. We bring samples on-site so you can see how a finish actually looks against your existing brick or stone before committing.
Staining colors the surface without changing its texture. Stamping presses a pattern into the wet concrete for a stone or brick look. Exposed aggregate washes away the top layer to reveal the pea gravel underneath for texture and grip. Each has a different look, feel, and price point.
Decorative concrete is typically a lower investment than true pavers or natural stone, since you're paying for one continuous pour instead of individually set units. It's a good middle ground between plain concrete and a full paver installation.
A garden hose, mild soap, and a soft-bristle brush handle most day-to-day cleaning. Avoid harsh acids or a pressure washer set too high, since both can strip the sealer early. We'll give you a simple care sheet specific to your finish when the job's done.
